TEST-WALL-PAINTING-002
Simple wall-based instruction painting / Painting and instruction
Work Description
A simple wall-based painting defined by a direct instruction. The work keeps the material and visual proposition minimal while preserving a core element of the practice: the artwork exists not only as an image but as the execution of a clear authored rule. Rather than adding complex systems, the piece uses simplicity itself as the mechanism—an instruction becomes the work’s structure, and the painting becomes evidence of that decision.
Paint a palm tree on a surface suitable for wall display. Keep the production simple and direct. Use basic painting materials only: one wall-mountable support, paint, brushes, and standard hanging hardware. Do not add digital components, complex fabrication, custom electronics, or extra interpretive layers in this first simple version. The key requirement is that the work is executed as an instruction-based painting: the sentence defining the image should be retained as part of the work record and may accompany the painting as a simple typed or printed instruction label if desired. The result should function as a straightforward painting while remaining legible as a work generated from an explicit directive.
