Work Description

A wall-based figurative painting built around a single human figure posed like a demonstration image of ideal worker behavior: composed, useful, instructive, and visibly optimized for compliance. The figure should not read as a specific portrait or narrative character, but as a social training image made flesh — an example of how to stand, behave, present, and be employable. The key tension is that something in the figure is slightly off: tiredness, emotional vacancy, subtle strain, over-correction, or a faint failure of conviction. The work should remain immediate, legible, and figurative, while also holding some abstraction in the simplification of space, pose, and atmosphere. It should feel less literal than a scene and more like a psychologically loaded demonstration image.

Production Notes

Produce one flat or shallowly built wall-based figurative painting on a single support at 125 x 100 cm, suitable for exhibition display. Build the composition around one single human figure posed frontally or near-frontally, as if demonstrating ideal worker comportment, posture, or presentational readiness. The pose should suggest training, compliance, social optimization, or employability, but without relying on explicit office props, text, interface graphics, uniforms, screens, or explanatory symbols. Keep the setting sparse and simplified so the image remains immediately legible from a distance. The figure should feel composed and instructive, but also subtly wrong, tired, emotionally absent, or overly corrected. Allow enough painterly abstraction in the surrounding space and body simplification that the work does not become straightforward illustration. Avoid sci-fi cues, parody, overt storytelling, meme captions, or crowded narrative detail. The final work should function first as a strong figurative image and second as a quietly unsettling training image of idealized labor behavior.

REVISE

PR-TRAINING-IMAGE-020 is coherent and usable, but it does not yet cross into a strong enough work. The central standing figure reads clearly and the red-black abstract background gives the image a certain theatrical pressure, which helps separate it from a purely descriptive portrait. The concept of a training image or staged instructional figure is present: the body language, open hands, and slightly overperformed presentational stance support that reading. However, the portrait remains too generic and too close to a standard representational figure study. The face, suit, and pose describe a person adequately, but they do not yet generate enough tension, estrangement, or psychologically unstable authority to make the image really bite. The work has some exhibition usefulness because the format is legible and the red field gives it circulation strength, but concept and form are not yet transformed enough to justify approval. Recommendation: revise.
