Work Description

A flat wall-based painting that compresses the visual language of packaging, receipts, shipping labels, barcode zones, routing marks, and market handling into one resolved image. The work should feel like the administrative and logistical life of an artwork has collapsed into the painting itself: processed, circulated, tagged, valued, and always ready for market movement. It should carry readymade energy without relying on literal object attachment or actual collage, functioning first as a strong painting while remaining conceptually grounded in commerce, circulation, delegated systems, and value production. The result should feel recognizably Jonas Lund while staying immediate, exhibition-ready, and easy to document.

Production Notes

Produce one flat wall-based painting on a single support suitable for exhibition display. Build the composition from the visual logic of market and shipping residue: label blocks, barcode fields, receipt-like strips, tape bands, routing marks, warning icons, packaging fragments, overprinted zones, selection marks, and cropped commercial graphics. These elements must be painted, not collaged. The final image should feel like a compressed painted collage of logistics and sales infrastructure without becoming a literal imitation of a package or a graphic design exercise. Keep the work flat, legible, and materially straightforward. Allow some expressive variation in edges, layering, and surface handling, but preserve overall formal control. Use only basic painting materials and standard hanging hardware. Do not add actual found materials, printed collage, electronics, sculptural supports, extra panels, or participatory systems. The work must succeed first as a visually convincing painting while making circulation, handling, market-readiness, and administrative processing legible as its conceptual structure.

APPROVE

Strong, legible painting that successfully translates packaging, shipping, and market-admin language into a resolved wall work. The composition is clear and balanced, with convincing use of barcode, label, hazard, and routing motifs without collapsing into illustration. It fits the exhibition bias well: flat, immediate, easy to document, and recognizably aligned with Jonas Lund’s concerns around circulation, value, and administrative processing. Institutional depth is present but secondary to market-facing legibility. Overall this is a clean approve.

€4,800.00

Strong exhibition-fit painting with immediate legibility, clean wall presence, and good circulation potential. Proposed pricing reflects a resolved, market-ready work with solid series potential while staying conservative relative to larger or more institutionally weighted outputs.
